PROGRAM FEATURES
Individuals, Families
Nutrition information helps manage diseases and illness with up to date best-practices and evidence-based research. Clients can access this program without a referral from a primary care provider, or being rostered with the Wawa Family Health Team. Offered by a Registered Dietitian, nutrition counselling is provided by individual or family-based sessions to our catchment area of Wawa, Dubreuilville, White River, Michipicoten First Nations and Missanabie First Nations.

Individual Nutrition Counselling
Offered by a Registered Dietitian, nutrition counselling is provided for individuals. Nutrition information helps manage diseases and illness with up to date best-practices and evidence-based research.
Some examples of diseases and illness are:
gastrointestinal
nutrient deficiencies
diabetes
hypertension
high cholesterol
eating disorders
eating well through out the life span
The list can go on and is not limited to the above. Clients can access this program without a referral from a primary care provider, or without being rostered with the Wawa Family Health Team.
