PROGRAM FEATURES

Cardiovascular health involves maintaining a strong and healthy heart through a balanced lifestyle to reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, and other related conditions through regular check-ups and screenings to detect and address any potential issues early. Programs are available for our catchment area of Wawa, Dubreuilville, White River, Michipicoten First Nations and Missanabie First Nations.
Programs Offered
Hypertension Program
Offered by a Registered Nurse, our hypertension program is provided to individuals who need to manage their blood pressure, ensure their current treatment plans remains effective, or to provide education and best-practices in order to accurately monitor your blood pressure at home.
Our clinic offers:
24 hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure monitor
BP average in-clinic readings
Home monitoring education and log sheets
Clients can access this program without a referral from a primary care provider, or being rostered at the Wawa Family Health Team.

Measuring your blood pressure
Cardiac Rehabilitation
Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is run by our Registered Nursing staff.
It is a 6 week program that is designed to help you recover after a heart attack or other heart conditions through exercise, education and counselling.
This program is currently accepting referrals.
