
What is it Cardiac Rehab?
Cardiac Rehabilitation is a fitness program that aims to strengthen the heart, body and mind after a major cardiac event (Heart attack, stenting ect). This program has helped many patients rebuild their strength and confidence after having a difficult health complication and will continue to assist patients ongoing.
How can participants join?
This program is run by WFHT’s Hayley Lamon, RN and assisted by Emily Andrews, RN after receiving a referral from a Physician or Nurse Practitioner.
You cannot book in for this program online. It is referral specific.

When does it run?
The program runs for 6 weeks every Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting at noon along with an hour education session after every Wednesday fitness session. Each session allows a maximum of 4 patients for each session run.
What does it involve?
The Wawa Family Health Team typically runs this program twice a year. It can increase depending on the need for the program.
