PROGRAM FEATURES
Individuals
Participating in lung health programs offers significant benefits by focusing on the prevention, management, and treatment of respiratory conditions. These programs provide personalized care plans, including screenings, education, and support for quitting smoking and managing chronic lung diseases. By improving lung function, these programs may help enhance overall quality of life for clients in our catchment area of Wawa, Dubreuilville, White River, Michipicoten First Nations and Missanabie First Nations.
Programs Offered
STOP Smoking Cessation
Offered by a Registered Nurse in conjunction with CAMH, our smoking cessation program, 'STOP' is provided to support individuals who would like to quit or cut down on smoking cigarettes.
Our clinic can offer 26 weeks of Nicotine Replacement Therapy at no cost:
Patches
Gum
Lozenges
Inhaler
Clients can access this program without a referral from a primary care provider, or being rostered at the Wawa Family Health Team.

Spirometry Program
Offered by a Registered Nurse certified in spirometry, our spirometry program is provided to individuals to monitor or diagnose lung conditions. The goal of spirometry is to see how much air a patient can inhale and how fast they can blast it out.
Providing:
An assessment
Pre-inhaler spirometry test
Post-inhaler spirometry test
Clients can access this program with a referral from a primary care provider, whether or not they are rostered at the Wawa Family Health Team.
